By With No comments :
Bored  or didnt like the new Facebook feature Facebook Timeline? This problem is with every one who activated facebook timeline. First peoples activated timeline than they wanted to remove it. Even facebook don’t tell users how they can Remove Facebook Timeline. Well, many friends and peoples ask me how to Remove Facebook Timeline . I now comes with this tutorial. You can now easily  Remove Facebook Timeline In Firefox and Chrome Completely. Just follow following steps.

Remove Facebook Timeline
What is Timeline?

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg described it as a way to “share the story of your life on a single page.”

Now that the Timeline has been released for all users. Many users I know personally doesn’t really like it and eagerly wants to revert their new Facebook timeline to an old profile layout. So for the ease of these unhappy users who just want their old profiles back, I am writing this guide.

How To Get Back Your Old Facebook Profile?

If you don’t like the new Timeline feature on Facebook and want to view profiles in the old style, then TimelineRemove is the perfect extension for you. This tiny, but handy tool disables the new Facebook timeline feature and restores the classic look, without changing the timeline behavior for other visitors of your Facebook profile.

The extension basically works by hiding the timeline, so you can view your own and others’ profiles in the old style.

TimelineRemove works automatically once installed, and a button is added to the toolbar that lets you toggle the timeline on and off, whenever you want.

Once you have enabled TimelineRemove extension, Facebook Timeline feature will never bother you again. Visit your friends profile page to check if it’s properly working for all profile pages. The extension disables the Timeline feature only. It doesn’t mean that it has been permanently removed or your friends will not see Timeline on your profile page. If you want Timeline feature back, just disable the extension from the settings and everything will be back to normal.

You can download TimelineRemove extension for Chrome browser from here. As of now, the extension is available for Google Chrome users only. I’ll update the post if I find it for Firefox and Safari. If you know any other extension or add-on to disable Facebook Timeline for Firefox and other browsers, do let me know via the comment section. I would appreciate your help. Hit the Facebook Like button in the left to share this post with your Facebook friends.

The respective domain will be launched in an incognito window, and the same will happen for that particular domain in subsequent browsing sessions.

How To Make Google Chrome Always Open In Incognito Mode

By With No comments :
One of the nice features in Google OS is the guest mode that automatically defaults to Incognito mode.  This means that guests to your home don’t have to worry about revealing what websites they’ve visited or any of their private information.

If you want to recreate a similar effect on your PC i.e. each time you start Google Chrome it automatically starts in privacy mode, then this is easy to achieve:

  1. Right-click on the icon(s) you use to start Google Chrome and click on ‘Properties’
  2. In the window that opens up find the target line and at the end of the current entry add ‘–incognito’ at the end of the entry.  Remember to leave a space between …chrome.exe and –incognito
  3. Click Ok

Free Download Google Chrome Standalone Offline Installer

By
The only option to install Google Chrome that is provided on the official website of the Google browser is an online installer that will perform the installation right after clicking on the install link. Some users and administrators might need a different solution. This can be because of firewall or network rules, distribution on computer systems that are not connected to the Internet or to save bandwidth by using the same installer on multiple computer systems.

There are probably additional reasons for a Google Chrome offline installer. There is however an easy – but somewhat hidden – option for users who want to download an offline installer for Google Chrome.

All that these users need to do is to append the parameter standalone=1 to the website where Google Chrome can be downloaded. Here are the two download links for the latest official and latest beta version of the Google browser:

Google Chrome 14 Available For Download

By
Google is updating its Chrome web browser to version 14, providing security fixes and new features.

Google Chrome 14.0.835.202 is now available for Windows, Mac and Linux and fixes 32 flaws. Of those flaws, Google has rated 15 of them as being high-risk, 10 as medium and seven as low risk. In total, Google is paying out $14,337 to security researchers as part of the Chromium Security Award program for reporting flaws to Google that were fixed in Chrome 14.

The fixed high risk flaws in Chrome include use-after free memory vulnerabilities with plug-in handling, Ruby, the focus controller, document loader and tables style handling. Use-after-free errors occur when a function continues to hold onto a memory location even after an operation has been completed. An attacker can potentially make use of the same memory location then to launch arbitrary code.

The Chrome 14 update also fixes high-impact issues with the v8 JavaScript engine including type confusion in v8 object sealing, a cross-origin bypass issue and off-by-one flaw in v8.

Google has also fixed multiple URL bar spoofing issues in Chrome 14 of varying severity.

While having a 32 flaw fix update might seem like a lot, Google noted in its Chrome 14 release notes that there were more flaws that were fixed during the development process for Chrome 14. Google thanked the Microsoft Java Team and Microsoft Vulnerability Research (MSVR) as well as Apple among others for working with the Google Chrome team during the development process to prevent bugs from reaching the stable release.

RockMelt A Browser Built For Facebook

By
What is RockMelt?

It is a first social media web browser which integrates web browsing and social networking together.Users can search for content in Google Search and at the same time chatting with other people through Facebook and Twitter. The left rail is for friend. The right rail is for sites. And the top rail is for search. Your favorite Facebook friends and their latest status updates are always available along the left rail whether they are online or offline. A “Share” button is provided at the top of the browser, which enables user to share it on Facebook anything from the webpage, including images. The right rail is like a bookmark bar which shows your news feeds and streams from your favorite sites. It is very convenient for any updates on news sites, blogs, Twitter, and Facebook.

Good

  • Built On The Chrome Platform – This is great because RockMelt inherits all the benefits of the Chrome browser, specifically the ability to use Chrome extensions and browser speed.  You don’t miss a step by switching to RockMelt as inherently it’s just a variation of the Chrome Browser.
  • Fantastic UI – The UI is really great.  I love how they have the left and right rails to integrate social media as this makes the best use of screen real estate.  Very clean, and easy to use.
  • Facebook Integration – The Facebook integration is pretty tight.  I just found myself actually using the browser to update Facebook statuses, catch up on the news feed, and chat with others.  I also like the ability to create a list of favorites to pair down who you see online on the left rail.  I haven’t used the chat function much yet and early word is there are some bugs to work out.
  • Share Button – It couldn’t be easier to share web content.  The share button integrated into the browser seamlessly allows you to share the page you are on on Facebook and Twitter.

Improvements

  • Twitter Integration – Just not quite ready for primetime yet.  It’s great that the option is there, but the execution is off a bit.  I want to be able to make the default timeline be @mentions or lists I’ve created.  While you can switch to this, you can’t make it the default setting.  Also would like the option of choosing my URL shortener.
  • More Chat Integration – I love the fact that you can chat directly with Facebook contacts, but would be even more useful is the option to use other chat clients as well.  The fact is, most of my contacts do not use Facebook as their chat client.  I love the idea of having chat clients integrated with the browser, but I haven’t come across a great execution on this.  It would be fantastic if RockMelt would give you the option of using chat clients such as Gmail, Live Messenger, Yahoo, etc.
  • Search Bar – When you use the search bar, the results actually pop up in a column rather then in the browser window.  It’s an interesting concept, but for me, I prefer the traditional approach.  While you can click a link at the top to move them into the tab, I would prefer a setting that would allow me to change this so that the default was in the browser tab.  I also prefer the single bar approach that Chrome has adopted where the top bar acts as both the URL and search box.

The RockMelt browser is not for everyone.  If you are a heavy social media user, you’ll probably find the experience useful and enjoyable.  However if you only find yourself on Facebook or Twitter 1-2 times per day, I would stick with your normal browser of choice.  If RockMelt can make some of the improvements above, I could see myself becoming a heavier user and possibly making it my default browser choice.  Anything that can potentially minimize the number of programs or actions I have to take to manage my day is a good thing.  RockMelt is a step in the right direction.

Free Download Google Chrome 12 Final

By
Google has announced the final stable release of its Google Chrome browser version 12 Final. The browser is available for all three major operating systems, namely Windows, Linux and Mac. The announcement came yesterday and the latest version includes hardware accelerated 3D CSS and a new Safe Browsing feature.

This stable version of Chrome offers enhancements for online security that enable you to protect your privacy by deleting cookies that are left behind by Flash - this would have previously required using a special tool from Adobe. Using a similar technique that is currently used to check the validity of web sites, Chrome 12 also checks downloads to ensure that they are not malicious.

New and emerging web standards are also supported. Modern graphics cards can take advantage of hardware accelerated 3D cascading style sheets and the fact that Google developer have decided to concentrate their efforts on HTML5, Google Gears has been dropped. There are also better support for screen reader such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver which can be used by visually impaired users to narrate web browsing.

Chrome 12 is now stable. New features include:

  • Hardware accelerated 3D CSS
  • New Safe Browsing protection against downloading malicious files
  • Ability to delete Flash cookies from inside Chrome
  • Launch Apps by name from the Omnibox
  • Integrated Sync into new settings pages
  • Improved screen reader support
  • New warning when hitting Command-Q on Mac
  • Removal of Google Gears

The download is available at the Google Chrome page.

Automatic High Definition (HD) Video on Youtube

By
Many videos on the popular video hosting site YouTube are available in multiple qualities. Why is that you may ask? The video qualities depend largely on the source video that gets uploaded to YouTube by the user. This source video defines which video qualities the video gets encoded to. Youtube users then have the choice to view the video in all available qualities. That’s useful depending on how YouTube is accessed.

Internet users with a slow Internet connection may prefer to view videos in lower resolutions to avoid buffering pauses during playback. Users with high speed Internet, and users with big screens may want to view the videos in the best available quality instead.

Auto HD for YouTube is a Google Chrome extension that offers to load YouTube videos automatically in predefined quality settings. The user can define up to four different quality settings and prioritize them.

Mozilla Firefox users who want a similar option in their browser can take a closer look at the Greasemonkey script YouTube HD Suite which adds the capabilities to the browser.
