Over the last week or so, a new Facebook chat system has been implemented. Unlike the previous chat window, the new chat stays open all the time and it displays your most contacted friends, whether they are online or not. If you want to chat with a friend that is not listed, you must use the search function. I am assuming the aim of this new chat system, is to give users an easy way to see if their most contacted friends are online or not and the make chatting with these people easier.
